The AA Isolator Module (M500X) is an automatic switch that opens when the analogue addressable Loop voltage falls below 4 volts. Isolators should be spaced between groups of loop devices to protect the remainder of the loop. If a short-circuit occurs between any two isolators, then both isolators immediately switch to an open-circuit state and isolating the devices between them. The other devices on the loop continue to function normally.
